Surah Falaq (سورَةُ الفَلَق), meaning sunrise, otherwise known as Mu’awwadhah (مُعَوَّذَة), importance looking for shelter, and Qul A’ūdhu bi Rabb al-Falaq (taken from the principal stanza of this Surah Falaq is the 113th and penultimate part in the Noble Quran that God uncovered to Prophet Muhammad in Medina.

Revelation of Surah Al-Fatihah . It was revealed in Mecca as stated by Ibn Abbas, Qatadah and Abu’l-Aliyah. “We have sent to you the Seven Oft Repeated Verses.” [Surah Al-Hijr 15:87] It is also postulated that it was revealed in Madinah as stated by Abu Hurayrah, Mujahid, ‘Ata ibn Yasar and Az-Zuhri.
9. Surah Falaq. Importance: Surah Falaq is the 113th Surah of Quran and it is a supplication that is directed towards seeking refuge in Allah Almighty from all the evils, black magic and from the effects of jealousy. This Surah can effectively be utilized pertaining to warding off any such effects if a Muslim is facing it in his or her daily life.

Virtue & importance Uqbah Bin Ami Al Juhin (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Prophet SAW said, 'Allah has revealed to me Ayat the likes of which have not been seen.' 'Say I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,' Until the end of the Surah (Naas). 'Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of Al Falaq,' Until the end of the Surah (Falaq)."
